any predictions?

this was a feature that was long overdue and many iphone users will be pleased when iphone 3.0 software hits the public. (im using it right now and it is great)

If you love the simple yet beautiful interface of the iPhone version of tweetie you will quickly forget that you are using your Macbook or whichever hardware you have in your quiver and be in heaven.

Tweetie comes in two versions, a free ad supported version and a $15 ad free version. I forked out the cash mostly to support atebit but ads are annoying so I’m glad to be free of those as well.

what if apple released two versions of the next gen iphone, a iphone and a iphone pro. the iphone would be the standard sexy next gen iphone with all of the improvements that the general public has been waiting for. a better camera with auto focus and video capabilities, a better battery, larger hard drive, and so on.. the iphone pro however would cross the line a little bit. instead of getting smaller and sleeker, it would be a bit thicker, a bit taller, and a bit wider. all of these dimensional changes would allow for more performance. the iphone pro would house a 8.0 megapixel camera with autofocus, video capabilities similar to that of a flip mino (not hd), a second camera on the front for ichat, one permanent battery and one removable battery, a larger and higher resolution screen, at least 120 gigs of storage, 2 gigs of ram, a true gps, dual processors, and so on. this kind of performance and hardware allow for much more complex software to be written and therefore making it one step closer to a laptop in your pocket.

im thinking of a machine that would allow kanye west to create beats on his iphone on the plane, allow kevin rose to shoot and edit mini episodes of diggnation on the go, let Woz record and/or stream his dancing with the stars performances, help lebron james run his empire with the ability to video conference business meetings @ halftime, to help business men all over the world by running a full version of office and iwork, and most importantly it would make many geeks very happy in return making apple even more wealthy.

iphone and iphone pro… whats your take?

-New iPhone announcement around mid-June (duh)
-New iPhone will be faster and have a more seamless experience unmatched by any device (could be just talking about 3.0, but we think it’s also a new iPhone)
-U-Verse iPhone application; will allow control of your home DVR (play, pause, rewind, etc.)
-The annual iPhone launch is “becoming a tradition.”
-Nothing official is being confirmed, but they said that people should prep for an exciting time this summer.
-AT&T is said to be working with Apple to create a unified product with an unparalleled experience across all their products and services.
-Apple’s 3.0 software should tell us where the iPhone platform is going… uh, k?
-They said customers shouldn’t need to choose from AT&T’s high-end devices because of features, they should choose based on preferences. The gap in capability should be filled with the new iPhone. Ok, bets on slide out QWERTY, autofocus camera, video sharing, blah blah?
-Seems like the higher speed HSDPA (7.2Mbps) is being hinted at too which should confirm the earlier rumors of the new Infineon chipset.
-The $99 3G netbook will start selling this summer, and the first one won’t be a Windows OS.

the last part excites me the most. my predictions are a apple 9 inch touch screen netbook with built in 3g of course. to keep the price that low a 2 year contract @ about $50 - $60/month. Of course there will be a upgraded model @ $199 and perhaps one @ $299.
