3m MPro 110

after a few weeks with the 3m Mpro 110, here are my first impressions.
first off, it’s small. it takes up no space at all in my laptop bag making it a must have gadget for me. to be able to travel with more gadgets is always a plus. the ability to project videos from my iphone through the 3m Mpro 110 is beyond cool. audio is tricky when using the 3m Mpro 110 with the iphone and i am still looking for a solution. using the 3m Mpro 110 with my macbook pro is a beyond super easy and a great asset in so many situations. the resolution is decent and battery life isnt too disappointing.
i use a tripod made for the flip mino with the 3m Mpro 110. it does the trick and saves me from having to carry around a separate stand.
more to come.
Hi,
I purchased the MPro 110 to show photo’s from my iphone photo library for on the spot demonstrations I give. I have the requisite Apple Video cable but when the iphone and MPro are hooked up, I only can see the ‘3M’ logo from the projector. No photo’s are projected. I emailed 3M and they said:
‘ The Mpro 110 can receive setting of 800×600, 1024×768, and 1280×1024. You also want to confirm that your display setting on the Iphone is set to display on exterior screen.’
I don’t know how to change these settings on the iphone. Can you give me any suggestions?
thanks,
John

john,
assuming that you have the new apple composite cables, not the older model that plugged into the headphone jack but the new one that connects thru the dock… (used the suppled cable that came with the projector and connect just the yellow (video) to the apple yellow composite wire.
on your iphone go to settings, then scroll down to ipod. click on ipod. where it says video mine currently reads
start playing: where left off
closed captioning: off
tv out
widescreen; OFF
tv signal: NTSC
after you make sure those settings are accurate exit the setting and click on the photos icon, select the folder you wish to use and click on it
click the play button in the middle
what software version are you using? are you using a 3g iphone?
if this doesnt work please let me know and i can contact you via email or im and walk you thru it.
Toby,
thanks a bunch. When I get home tonight, I’ll give it a shot.
I do have the 3g iphone and the new composite Apple cable.
I’ll let you know.
thanks,
John
